AILUJ PEARL explores the relationship of self and self/other. In a series of canvassed performance portraits, the artist lends exclaim to the formations and influence of the terms of her construction. As with all of the monikers, the names themselves and their mediums nod to their subject of inquiry and investigation. This work was developed with both filtering screens and projection. The algorithm codes used for this processed were sourced from patternings found in Nature and those of communication technologies 2016.

2014-16. CAVE PAINTINGS: AILUJ PEARL.

With the name’s nod to the selfie’s inversion, this series of performance portraits (below) grapples with the representation of Woman from an eco-feminists location of agency.

2017. ALYOSHA AND AILUJ.

Honed by linguistic’s articulation of choreographed space and form within the “I” - “love” - “you,” this series of romance conveys the bodied orientation of separation and Love by exposing such challenge inherent in the human experience and the communication within the structure of her expression.

2016- 2025. ESTRUBAL.

The third and final body of work honor’s nature’s wisdom in her design. However, the pieces are developed within a system of separation and patriarchy, and the work is developed in ways that illuminate this experience, taking it out of the normalized, with its literal reframe and repose.

ten years prior to the 2024 first Humanoid Robot Ai-Da artist whose work auctioned at Sotheby’s 160,000 USD, AILUJ PEARL fashioned a unique series drawing dynamic resemblance to the ‘articulated’ challenge of experienced self via her performance portraiture. a distinguished print-maker, the work was developed using algorithm codes sourced from nature and those of modern technology. mixed-media in composition, the projection and filtering screens refined to materialize the series directly reflect the subject-matter of interest and inquiry -
